Police are launching an investigation after someone sent an envelope with white powder to former President Barack Obama's offices in Washington, D.C.
Fox 5 DC reports that police were called to Obama's office building shortly after noon over concerns about white powder that had been sent to it through the mail.
Police cleared the scene at the office, which Obama has leased since January 2017, and reportedly determined that the mysterious substance was baby powder.
Although the powder was apparently harmless, it marks the second straight day mysterious white powder has been mailed to either a president or a president's family member. On Monday, Donald Trump Jr.'s wife was hospitalized after a suspicious package containing white powder was sent to their residence.
