Attorneys for former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski have submitted a letter to New York Magazine saying they will hold the magazine responsible for what they believe is a criminal act by one of the their reporters, reports the Daily Mail.

According to the report, journalist Olivia Nuzzi entered Lewandowski's home uninvited and snapped a picture of the interior as part of a story she was writing on former White House Communications Director Hope Hicks, which , in turn, has caused the former Trump official "embarrassment."

Following Nuzzi's entering the home in March, Lewandowsky accused her of stealing a photo album, writing on Twitter: "I haven’t seen my photo album that was in the foyer prior to this incident. Wonder where it could be."

Nuzzi has denied she stole anything from the former Trump official, but did admit that she entered the home where she took a picture of one wall.

In an interview, Nuzzi explained that the townhome also serves as the headquarters for Lewandowski's lobbying firm, Turnbury Solutions.

"I tried to knock on the basement door, but the gate wasn't open. Then I walked up the steps to the main door and knocked for, like, 10 minutes. And I’m knocking, knocking, nobody’s answering," Nuzzi told the Columbia Journalism Review. "But after a while, I just touched the door knob, and the door was open. I walked in and I’m in the house, by myself."

Noting wallpaper showing a scroll with the words "The wilderness shall blossom as the rose," Nuzzi took a picture of it before leaving.

She admitted later that, after telling her boyfriend what she had done, she realized her mistake, saying, "He said it probably wasn't legal and that I should leave. I was like, f*ck."

Nuzzi did point out that an employee of Lewandowski's eventually took her on a tour, but that didn't stop the former Trump official of accusing her of "light breaking-and-entering."

"I can confirm I did not grant her permission to enter my office," Lewandowski said in an interview with Fox News.

The Republican operative's attorneys saying they are considering their legal options, saying Lewandowski suffered "embarrassment and anxiety" in the wake of  the picture taking.
