A jury has convicted a 12-year-old Texas boy of murder in relation to the shooting death of a Sonic fast food restaurant worker, USA Today reported.

The boy and a co-defendant, Angel Gomez, were charged in the shooting. Gomez is also the boy's uncle.

According to police, Davis confronted Gomez for "being disorderly in the parking lot" of the Fort Worth-area restaurant and the two got into a fight. The boy then shot Davis at least six times with an AR-style rifle while sitting in the back seat of Gomez's vehicle.
