I can't decide which bothers me more: That Karl Rove is being taken seriously in his Obama VP predictions, or that he's being taking seriously in his characterizations of same. (Actually, it's option C: That he's not in jail for Contempt of Congress.)
Republican strategist Karl Rove said on Face The Nation Sunday that he expects presumptive Democratic nominee Barack Obama to choose a running mate based on political calculations, not the person's readiness for the job.
Outraged yet? You should be. This thing that Obama hasn't done, for reasons that Karl Rove has defined, just goes to show that Democrats are too cynical in their future theoretical possible actions. And you can trust Karl Rove's analysis, because the very last thing Rove would do is make political calculations.
