Feel free to use this as an open thread.
Last Saturday, our new addition to the family, Casey, made her first trip to the vet (shout out to the wonderful folks at Colony Park Animal Hospital in Durham). We thought, correctly, that she had an ear infection, but she is otherwise healthy. I remembered that I had the camcorder in my bag from my trip to ConvergeSouth, and pulled it out to capture some of the fun. Well, Casey probably wouldn't think so, since she was getting her ears cleaned out...
We also picked up Bailey's ashes; they also gave us a clay impression of Bailey's pawprint as a memorial. Poor Chloe still looks for her, particularly when we mention her name, but she has adjusted and warmed to Casey quite nicely. We plan to bury Bailey's ashes (and those of Red, Tonka and Jade the cat) in the yard by the park bench.
