A Utah woman was so frustrated by her husband's addiction to video games that she decided to place him up as an ad on Craigslist.
According to the Associated Press Monday, Alyse Baddley said placing her 22-year-old, Afghanistan veteran spouse Kyle Baddley up for sale on Craigslist was a joke.
“I didn’t see him much at all," she said. "So one day I told him: ‘I am going to post you on Craigslist, you know.’ My mother-in-law said: ‘Do it!’”
The ad, titled "One husband to the highest bidder,” describes Kyle "as easy to maintain, just feed and water every 3-5 hours.” It also warns potential buyers that Internet service and space for gaming would be required, as well as an acceptable replacement for her husband.
Alyse Baddley indicated they were surprised they received "so many" responses, including one where a "bag of Skittles" was offered for her husband.
Kyle Baddley, whose constant playing of "Modern Warfare" led his wife to make the humorous decision, was jovial about his spouse's joke.
“I love my wife," he said. "She supported me when I got the game. We stayed until midnight to get the game when it first came out. It’s just funny.”
