Conservative rocker Ted Nugent says that the media underestimates him so he will "dominate" them and the "lies of the left" following President Barack Obama's State of the Union speech on Tuesday.
Rep. Steve Stockman (R-TX) on Monday announced that he had invited Nugent to attend the annual speech, even though the pro-gun activist had been investigated by the Secret Service for threatening the life of the president.
Speaking to KFYI talk radio host Mike Broomhead on Monday, Nugent said that he would attend the speech "knowing that everything President Obama ever said has been a masterful scam - a masterful smoke-and-mirrors deceit, fraud, scam from hell."
"And my friends wanted me to attend to counter that the way that I do, with facts, statistics and common sense and logic and a celebration of self-evident truth," he explained. "So, I will be taking on the media orgy following the State of the Union address. But I will remain respectful to the office of the presidency and the event itself, but I will not buy the scam."
"I will do my best -- as you saw me dance on the skull of Piers Morgan here recently -- I will do my best to counter the scam and the lies of the left with irrefutable documented evidence, the facts, the statistics that even their people tried to accumulate and backfired on them, particularly regarding the right to bear arms."
But Nugent insisted that the media should not underestimate him "because they don't know that I'm a force to reckon with so I will just -- I will dominate them."
"I will have to call on some deep, powerful forces of fortification to remain poised and to absorb the proceedings," the Motor City Madman added. "Because it's going to be very moving, I realize all the blood and all the sacrifices the military heroes throughout history that provided this experiment and this freedom. So, that's where my spirit will be and my mind will be."
