Fox News contributor Ben Carson compared legal abortion to human sacrifice during an interview with a Christian broadcast network.
The retired neurosurgeon and conservative darling appeared recently on DoveTV, where host Perry Atkinson suggested that if the United States would just outlaw abortion "all of the other things that God would be interested in helping us with would fall into alignment."
Right Wing Watch reported that Carson, who has thus far rebuffed calls for him to enter the 2016 presidential race, agreed.
"It's interesting," Carson said, "that we sit around and call other ancient civilizations 'heathen' because of human sacrifice, but aren't we actually guilty of the same thing?"
