Police in Oklahoma shot and killed a man who had been trying to harm himself with a knife.
Officers were called about 4:20 a.m. Monday to a home in Tulsa and found the 45-year-old man standing in a driveway holding an 8-inch knife.
Investigators said the man, whose name was not released, had stabbed himself after arguing with people inside the home.
Police ordered the man to drop the weapon, and they shot him multiple times after he refused.
Officers told Tulsa World they were concerned he would approach some nearby businesses.
Three officers involved in the fatal shooting were placed on routine administrative leave while the incident is investigated.
