A Fall River man has been taken into custody for going on a rampage and shooting up cars parked in spaces he claims were shoveled out by others, reports WCVB.

Jose Osorio, 29, was arrested early Friday morning after banging on neighbor's doors attempting to find the owners of the vehicles before producing a handgun and shooting the cars.

According to authorities, an officer was dispatched to the neighborhood after receiving a call reporting gunshots at 1 a.m.

“Witnesses told us that Mr. Osorio was yelling and banging on doors, trying to find the owners of cars parked on the street,” department spokesman Detective Lt. Ronald Furtado said. “Mr. Osorio produced a handgun and fired at two vehicles. Both vehicles sustained damage.”

“It appears the vehicles were in parking spots that were shoveled out by someone else,” Furtado explained.

Police obtained a warrant and arrested a unresisting Osorio, recovering a .22 caliber revolver with defaced serial numbers in the process.

Osorio faces charges of carrying a firearm without a license, two counts of vandalism, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, carrying a firearm in public without a license, carrying a firearm after being convicted of a violent crime, and possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number.
