Donald Trump will announce the formation of a presidential exploratory committee, according to reports.
WMUR-TV reported that the real estate mogul and reality TV star will announce his intentions Wednesday.
Trump has a team of New York-based political advisors and has hired staff in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, including senior political adviser Corey Lewandowski, reported the Union Leader.
The station also reported that Trump turned down a contract renewal with NBC, which airs his reality show, “The Apprentice.”
“Nobody in the history of television has turned down a renewal, but Mr. Trump can do that,” Lewandowski said.
Trump will visit New Hampshire, a key primary state, on Thursday to attend a reception for Rep. Steve Stepanek (R-Amherst).
He is also scheduled to speak next month at the GOP's First in the Nation Republican Leadership Summit.
Trump considered a White House run in 2012, and many polls showed him leading other Republican contenders.
He is an outspoken critic of President Barack Obama, whose citizenship and eligibility for office Trump has repeatedly questioned.
