Saturday evening will find President Barack Obama attending the much-talked about and much-reviled White House Correspondents' Dinner, where politicians get the chance to hobnob with real celebrities in an event also known by the obnoxious name of "nerd prom."
With help of HBO's "Veep" star Tim Simons -- who plays the equally obnoxious "Jonah" on the show -- Funny or Die films the actor prepping himself for the event, anticipating dumb questions from star-struck politicos.
"Oh gosh, you make me laugh Congressman-other-white-guy," he says as he practices before the mirror. "I just love coming to this dinner because I just think that politicians are super interesting and I'm not just here because there's an open bar."
"Oh, you know someone like Jonah? That's because everyone in this town is a monster... Yes, I know I live in LA. We're all monsters, too," Simons says to another.
"It's truly nice to meet you governor-I-hated-gay-people-until-six-months-ago," he states while giving his most dazzling smile.
And the inevitable, "No, I don’t know Amy Poehler. That’s a different show,” because he is not the much shorter Adam Scott from "Parks and Rec."
