Jon Stewart may invite some of his mortal enemies to send him off as host of “The Daily Show,” according to a new report.
The Comedy Central star told director Judd Apatow last week that he would most likely host some of his comedian friends as he ends his 17-year run – but a new report suggests he may have other ideas, reported Mediaite.
The New York Post reported that “Daily Show” producers have reached out to some of Stewart’s most frequent targets of mockery – including Donald Trumps, Bill O’Reilly, Sarah Palin, and Sean Hannity – to see if they would be interested in telling him off.
“Guests who take part in the pre-taped segment, set to run as part of Stewart’s final show, will be given the green light to ‘basically tell Jon to f*ck off,’” a source told the newspaper.
It’s not clear whether any of those notables would be interested in appearing with Stewart on “The Daily Show” before his last episode, on Aug. 6.
