An Indiana woman walked into an indoor gun range on Saturday and took their gun safety course before turning the gun on herself, reports WISH-TV.

According to police, the unidentified woman entered Applied Ballistics Indoor Shooting Range in Lafayette where she rented the gun and then shot herself once in the head. The woman was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Police say surveillance video left no doubt that the woman committed suicide.

According to a member of the shooting range, anyone who rents a gun at the range must undergo a safety course first.

Lafayette police officer Sgt. Mike Brown confirmed that the woman had watched the 20-minute safety video prior to taking her own life.

Police have yet to release her name.
