Two men were arrested on Sunday after reports that shots were fired from the roof of an elementary school in Richmond, Texas, local law enforcement officials said. No injuries were reported.

Police responded to calls at about 8 a.m. that shots were heard from the roof of the Velasquez Elementary School, according to the Facebook page of the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office. Fort Bend borders Houston to the southwest.

Two men, one in his 20s and the other in his 30s, were taken into custody at the school, the sheriff’s office said, adding that one of the men was playing bagpipes on the roof.

One handgun and two shell casings were recovered from the school.

The school district wrote to parents about the incident on Sunday to assure them the school is secure, the sheriff’s office said.
