Gun shop owner's husband and son killed in shootout with customer over $25 repair fee

The husband and son of the owner of a Pearl River County, Mississippi gun shop were shot to death Saturday afternoon following an argument with a customer over a $25 repair fee, reports the Picayune Item.


According to police, a man and his son came to pick up a handgun that was in for repairs and became agitated with the woman who owns the store when he discovered the fee. She called her husband and their son to help deal with the man and things then took a turn for the worse.

After the store owner and his son arrived the argument escalated, leading to guns being drawn and a shootout, leaving the owner's husband and her son dead.

The customer and his son were both taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Police have yet to release the names of all four of the victims.
