Conservative rocker Ted Nugent this week blasted Barack Obama over a deal to swap Iranian hostages for American hostages, and he accused White House Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett of being a "dog handler" for the president.
Speaking to Newsmax on Monday, Nugent argued that the Obama administration had been a repeat of President Jimmy Carter's failures in dealing with Iran.
"We are now doing the Jimmy Carter redo doogie," he told Newsmax host Steve Malzberg. "This is a time for a Ronald Reagan bully pulpit and a giant fist on top of the bully pulpit where we have respect again."
"The reason that Americans are in danger around the world, the reason that the jihadists are running amuck is because the number one hope for real security and freedom in the world, the United States of America, is being run by a rookie community organizer from Chicago that was raised by Frank Marshall 'Communist' Davis and adheres to the Saul Alinsky book of destroying America."
Nugent added: "And his Valerie Jarrett dog handler is a Cloward–Piven wannabe."
