At a campaign rally Sunday in Nevada, Sen. Bernie Sanders mocked Donald Trump's record at being the greatest at everything he does or attempts. Trump has claimed that he will be the "greatest jobs president," that he was the "greatest thing to happen to Megyn Kelly," he'll be "the best thing that ever happened to women," he believes he is "the best to save our country" and many more.
Just the mention of Trump's name brought boos from the crowd of Sanders supporters, despite the senator's attempts to quell them. "We know that Donald Trump is the greatest everything in the world," he said to laughter from the crowd. "There is nothing that this man is not 'the greatest' at."
Sanders reminded the crowd that Trump's presumed "greatness" extends to his knowledge of science, which includes climate change. "And one of his major scientific contributions in recent years has been to proclaim that climate change is a hoax. Now, for Republican candidates, this is not an unusual idea, but [Trump] added something to it, being the brilliant scientist that he is: That this hoax was created by the Chinese!"
Trump has attempted to walk back his previous Tweets that climate change was invented by China, but he has a long history demonstrating that he is the furthest thing from a scientist. Trump said on Fox News and Tweeted a claim that extreme winter weather was evidence that climate scientists don't know what they're talking about. He thinks vaccines cause autism. He's also a self-professed expert on Ebola.
