Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) delivered the consensus speech of the night during Thursday's Washington Press Club Congressional dinner, taking jabs at both his own party and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX).

"If you kill Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial is at the Senate, no one will convict you," said Graham, who donned a Donald Trump "Make America Great Again" hat during his remarks, as seen here:

Graham, a former candidate for the GOP's presidential nomination, also jokingly declared that his party had gone "batsh*t crazy," adding, "How did I lose to these people?"

Former neurosurgeon Ben Carson, Graham said, "is the nice guy in the race, and he tried to kill his cousin." If Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) were to be elected, Graham joked, the Secret Service's main job would be keeping him hydrated.

The Tea Party senator was not the only lawmaker riffing at the event. Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) also roasted Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), saying, "Have you seen Bernie Sanders' rallies? I haven't seen so many white voters since the Oscars."

According to the club, the dinner raises funds for both its own projects and a summer internship program that places participants in Washington D.C. news bureaus.
