Trevor Noah rips Trump coverage: We're talking about 'titties' instead of how he'll bankrupt America
Trevor Noah (Daily Show)

Donald Trump announced his economic plan Monday, but all anyone can talk about is a silly flub he made during the scripted remarks.

The Republican presidential nominee accidentally said "titties" instead of "cities," which Daily Show host Trevor Noah said had distracted from the awful contents of Trump's proposal.

“What makes it the funniest is that now everyone is focusing on the fact that Donald Trump said ‘titties’ instead of focusing on the fact that his economic policy is going bankrupt America with tax cuts for the rich and tons of new debt,” Noah said.

Trump has also undermined trust in America's democratic institutions by claiming three months before Election Day that if he were to lose -- and polls increasingly suggest he will -- it would be due to fraud.

That suggestion should be the most newsworthy thing Trump's said since last week, Noah said.

“Donald Trump is right,” Noah said. “We’ve uncovered evidence of election rigging throughout the system.”

Noah pointed to gerrymandering and voter suppression laws implemented by Republican state legislatures to make it harder to elect Democratic lawmakers.

“I know some people might say we need these laws to protect from voter fraud, but voter fraud isn’t actually a problem,” Noah said.

For example, Texas convicted only two people for violating its voter ID law out of 20 million votes cast.

“More people have been Trump’s wife,” Noah said.
