James Carville: ‘Call it what it is’ Comey and the GOP are ‘trying to hijack the election!’

Published

on

Longtime Democratic operative James Carville appeared on MSNBC on Monday and lost it over how FBI Director James Comey handled the investigation into Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s email server.

Carville exclaimed that American democracy is under attack right now, pointing a finger at Comey, the KGB, and House Republicans.

He asked whether we were going to let Americans decide the future of this country, or leave it in the hands of the KGB and House Republicans.

When anchor Thomas Roberts reminded Carville how Democrats praised Comey in July after determining that the agency would not prosecute Clinton, Carville wasn’t having it.

“Why are you defending this? Why are you sitting here when our democracy is under assault, when the FBI is acting at the behest of Jason Chaffetz, and sitting here acting like this is legit, when it’s not?”

“When the facts change,” Carville said, “You change your mind. I know that’s a hard concept for people to get sometimes.”
