WATCH: SNL mocks CNN for their nightly Trump surrogate shoutfest panels

In a sketch that will look all too familiar to those who watched CNN's continuous coverage of the rise of Donald Trump, SNL regulars recreated a spot-on parody of an Anderson Cooper 360 political panel filling time and saying essentially nothing about what America faces.

With the usual cast of a "smug" Kayleigh McEnany, Van Jones, Gloria Borger, David Axelrod, and Dana Bash all represented, host Cooper delivered "breaking news" about Trump, leading each one to deliver their take while trapped in a repetitious loop of banalities.

As might be expected, Kate McKinnon's McEnany dismissed whatever horror Trump was inflicting on the country with a blithe, "Can we just remember that most Americans voted for Trump," only to have Kenan Thompson's Van Jones continually shoot down that myth.
