A Del City, OK family set up a sting operation in their own backyard to stop a sexual predator from victimizing their teen daughter.

The Washington Post reported Thursday that a father -- who asked not to be named -- used an app called Family Time to monitor sexually explicit communications between his 15-year-old daughter and a 33-year-old neighbor.

“He had planned everything with her,” the father told KOCO 5 News. “He was ready, and we were, too."

"The family took it upon themselves to pretend to be her and invite the suspect to the house to meet her in the backyard in a tent for the purpose of having -- to have sex," said Major Jody Suit of the Del City Police Department.

Suit continued, "Just before he enters the tent, the father and three family members... tackle him and zip tie his hands and feet, and hold him until the police get there."

The girl was reportedly inside the family home and unaware what was happening. No one was hurt.

According to the Post's Amber Ferguson, "The man was arrested on complaints of unlawful communication by the use of technology, using a phone and social media to communicate with a minor."
