On Wednesday, Whoopi Goldberg and her co-hosts on ABC's "The View" gleefully mocked President Donald Trump for calling the media "fake news" while displaying a phony Time magazine cover of himself at multiple Trump-owned venues.
The conversation began with a discussion of the three CNN journalists who were forced off the job after they incorrectly reported on a link between Trump adviser Anthony Scaramucci and a Russian bank.
"You have though now The Washington Post has had to retract two stories related to Russia," said conservative panelist Jebediah Bila. "You have CNN, now, three journalists got fired because they didn't properly source something related to Russia. So, it does seem like there is a leap. All I'm saying is let them investigate it, but you don't have to come on television every day and be looking. It seems like a hunt to find something. Let the FBI do its job."
After a brief back-and-forth about Trump saying he's never colluded with Russia and the fact that his team have "lawyered up," Goldberg said, "He says so many things. He says so many things."
She continued, "We've had three or four journalists resign, we've had people who have had to retract stuff. This dude has retracted jack doodoo."
The panel then brought up the phony magazine cover and made a few suggestions of some other magazine covers upon which the president could photoshop himself.
