A Republican legislative candidate in Oklahoma has become the object of ridicule and scorn after listing bondage pornography on his campaign finance report.
In an August campaign finance filing, Oklahoma City Republican candidate Jason Reese reported a "general expenditure" with the description, "HOTWIFE CHLOE NEEDS TO BE PUNISHED." The amount listed was $10.05.
“I can assure you, I was as shocked as anyone," Reese told KOCO News 5. "Absolutely no illicit materials were bought with campaign funds."
Reese is blaming a staffer for reporting $10.05 worth of bondage pornography, describing it as a copy and paste mistake.
"The problem is, he said he had another browser open at the same time. Something from that browser got moved over to the ethics commission report,” Reese claimed.
The scandal was first reported by The Lost Ogle.
The Lost Ogle successfully predicted that Reese would, "pull a Ted Cruz and blame it all on a staffer."
"From what I can tell, Jason has all the qualifications you’d look for in an Oklahoma conservative political candidate. He’s a former lawyer for the Oklahoma GOP. He has the support of the local ruling class," The Lost Ogle explained. "And most importantly, he’s a fan of good old-fashioned BDSM internet pornography!"
Reese is running for Oklahoma state House District 83.
"You gotta expect this sort of thing in politics," Reese told WTVR News. "I enourage everyone to look at my ethics report. When you look at it, it makes perfect sense."
