On Wednesday, Keith Olbermann detailed how President Donald Trump is attempting to use the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team as "political pawns" in his campaign to rile up his base by attacking black athletes and questioning their patriotism.
The Penguins have won the Stanley Cup two years running -- a virtually unheard-of feat for a U.S. hockey team -- and are slated to visit the White House.
The Penguins -- cautious to not provoke controversy -- put out a statement saying that their visit is to the "historic building" that is the White House and in no way constitutes an endorsement of any president or their policies.
Trump, however, "picked up the Penguins' sweet little gesture of a note and began to hit people over the head with it."
