In the most recent installment of Action Comics, Superman saves a group of undocumented immigrants from a gun-wielding white supremacist.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the issue, published just a week after President Donald Trump effectively ended the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, blasts the false narrative that immigrants are stealing American jobs.
In the issue, titled "The Oz Effect," Superman confronts a white supremacist wearing an American flag bandana who is threatening to shoot a group of undocumented people.
"Stop this!" Superman screams at the gunman.
"Why?!" the white supremacist responds. "They ruined me! Stole from me!"
"The only person responsible for the blackness smothering your soul," Superman responds, "is you!"
