Whoopi Goldberg blasted President Donald Trump for his demand to boycott NFL games because of the players who kneel during the American National Anthem.

"Courageous Patriots have fought and died for our great American Flag --- we MUST honor and respect it! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!" Trump tweeted Sunday.

Goldberg argued during Monday's episode of "The View" that many of these players have brothers, sisters and families who are serving in the military.

"They know what soldiers have done for this nation," Goldberg argued. "That's why they're angry. They're angry because they feel some soldiers are not treated as well as other soldiers. Some Americans are not treated as well as others. And when you have someone who started the conversation with 'Mexicans are rapists' or 'Obama wasn't born here,' took on the Gold Star Khan family and defended 'fine people' -- the Nazis who were marching."

Goldberg went on to explain that this is about race "because America needs to be reminded that we're all in this together."

Co-host Joy Behar said that it seems like they assume people of color can simply be "disappeared" in some way.

"Everyone is just going to go away and there will just be white people left," she said of Trump supporters' assumptions. "There's a fantasy going on. It's a psychotic fantasy."
