CNN's Cuomo crushes GOP lawmaker for Obamacare sabotage: 'You're doing this on the backs of the most needy'
CNN's Chris Cuomo interviews Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH).

CNN's Chris Cuomo took a hammer to Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) on Friday when the GOP lawmaker tried to defend President Donald Trump's actions in withholding critical cost-sharing subsidies that help stabilize the individual Obamacare insurance market.

Jordan tried to argue that Obamacare is already broken, so Trump ending the subsidy payments isn't really anything to get upset about. However, Cuomo reminded Jordan that he and his colleagues vowed to pass a viable replacement for Obamacare -- and instead, they're only relying on executive actions to make the situation worse.

"You said you'd make it fixed, you said you'd make it better," Cuomo said. "You cannot find a reasonable health care analyst who will look at cutting the subsidies, shrinking the enrollment period, and doing other things that the president's doing in his executive order and what you're trying to do in your bill, that makes it better... for American families."

Jordan tried to object to Cuomo's assertions, but Cuomo wasn't having it.

"This seems to be about sucking money out of it and using it for something else," he said. "You're doing it on the backs of the most needy."

"You can't stabilize [Obamacare], it's already falling apart," Jordan insisted.

"You're making it fall apart!" Cuomo shot back.
