Ivanka Trump defended Malia Obama after conservative websites circulated photos of the former president's adult daughter blowing smoke rings -- and the current president's fans howled in rage.
The 19-year-old Obama is now a student at Harvard University, and photos of her doing young adult things like attending concerts, kissing young men and smoking have been published by tabloids and right-wing sites.
"Malia Obama should be allowed the same privacy as her school aged peers," Trump tweeted Friday afternoon. "She is a young adult and private citizen, and should be OFF limits."
Many social media users agreed with Trump, saying Obama was an adult and not even a public figure -- but others lashed out in anger.
