The panel on ABC's "The View" reacted with anger and disappointment to news on Thursday that a Los Angeles radio personality accused Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) of groping her and forcibly kissing her on a USO trip in 2006.

"It's just so disappointing," said co-host Joy Behar, echoing the sentiments of many progressives who have admired Franken's unrelenting questioning of the actions of Attorney Gen. Jeff Sessions and other figures in the Trump administration.

"But, you know, men of all different stripes," she added, "are out there doing crazy things."

"This goes beyond whatever your political leaning," said Whoopi Goldberg. "This is not a partisan issue. You shouldn't be doing this and you should know better."

She continued, "Sometimes guys feel like they can make these kind of jokes and I think we have to make it as uncomfortable as women are making it to remind people, 'Don't touch me! Don't...touch me.'"

"This is not acceptable when anybody does it," she concluded.
