new report from Axios claims that President Donald Trump is expected by his own advisers to be even more unhinged in 2018 -- or as one adviser puts it, expect the "Full Trump" to be unleashed.

According to the publication's sources, advisers such as Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and economic adviser Gary Cohn helped keep Trump in check throughout his first year in office -- but they worry that Trump will ignore their advice next year and will end up launching a trade war with China.

"Advisers recognize that the day of reckoning will come in 2018, regardless of whether economic adviser Gary Cohn and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson — who advocated restraint — stay or go," Axios reports.

Even more alarmingly, these advisers say that Trump has a "fixation" with launching a military strike against North Korea, and they fear that his top foreign policy advisers will not be able to dissuade him in 2018.

"Some top officials have told us Trump's belligerent rhetoric on the subject makes them nervous," the publication writes. "There is a reason the harshest assessments of Trump usually leak after North Korea meetings."
