Colbert rips Ivanka for Olympics appearance: 'Carrying on Trump family tradition of getting something she didn't earn’

“Late Show” host Stephen Colbert on Monday knocked Ivanka Trump after a photo showed the First Daughter wearing an Olympic silver medal in Pyeongchang.

“Trump sent a delegation to the closing ceremonies led by First Daughter Ivanka Trump, seen here carrying on Trump family tradition of getting something she didn't earn,” Colbert joked.

Colbert later brought up Ivanka Trump’s NBC Today interview where she demurred when asked about the dozen-plus women who’ve accused her father of sexual harassment. During that exchange, Ivanka Trump complained the interviewer would not ask “many other daughters” about such allegations.

“But Ivanka, you’re not many other daughters,” Colbert reminded her. “You’re the only daughter in U.S. history to officially serve in her father’s administration.”

“It is the most blatant act of nepotism since Nixon gave the surgeon general job to his dog Checkers,” Colbert said.

“That’s why it says on a pack of cigarettes it says, ‘Getting cancer is ruff,” he added.
