A Texas pastor who starved a toddler to death to get rid of a demon will serve 99 years in jail, the Dallas Morning News reports.

Aracely Meza ordered that the boy, Benjamin Aparicio, be not given food or water because she and the boy's parents believed he was possessed by a demon. The boy was starved for 25 days before dying.

When the boy died, Meza cradled his limp body and prayed for God to bring him back to life. The disturbing footage is embedded below, and was shown at the trial.

When the resurrection failed, Aparicio' parents absconded with the body to their native Mexico.
