An offensive tweet posted on the Twitter account of Chair of the Republican National Committee Ronna McDaniel was tweeted by a rogue staffer, according to an RNC spokesperson.
On Saturday a tweet reading, "Democrats hate our President more than they love our country," was posted on the verified account of McDaniel, causing outrage on Twitter.
According to CNN's Jake Tapper, RNC sources said that, while McDaniel did make that comment after Trump's State of the Union speech, it should not have been repeated during Holy Week.
Tapper tweeted, "RNC source tells me McDaniel said this after State of the Union re: Dem lawmakers not standing for POTUS talking about black unemployment going down etc & was chagrined to see it tweeted by staff outside that context, as if she was attacking all Dem voters, esp during Holy Week."
