A black Kansas man was stopped by police and had his car searched for drugs after an officer spotted tree debris on his window.
Rudy Samuel streamed video of the traffic stop Sunday evening on Facebook Live, after an officer pulled him over for failing to signal within 100 feet of a turn, reported The Wichita Eagle.
The video shows the Winfield police officer remove what he calls "vegetation stuff" from the driver's side window seal, and Samuel says the debris is "tree stuff."
The officer says he's going to place the item in a bag, and Samuel denies that it's drug-related.
"I don't even smoke," he says.
The officer orders Samuel out of his car, and he tells the driver that he doesn't have to test the item before searching for drugs.
He again orders Samuel out of his car, and he forcibly removes the man after he asks why.
The video goes dark at that point but continues to record audio, which captures the officer telling Samuel he's being detained so police can search his car.
Samuel tells the officer he won't consent to a search until police test the vegetation, and the recording ends at that point, after the officer reportedly shuts off the phone.
"Yea straight Stereotyped me he grab my phone I told him he better get a warrant for it so he powered it off," Samuel posted later on Facebook.
No drugs were found during the search and Samuel was not arrested, although the officer issued two warnings during the traffic stop.
Police said they were reviewing the incident.
