
Michael Cohen isn't just Donald Trump's personal attorney, he's also deputy director of the Republican National Committee.
That has remained true even as he's under investigation and facing major jail time. RNC chair Ronna McDaniel has stuck by him, saying she believes in "due process."
On CNN Saturday, conservative Republican Ken Cuccinelli, former attorney general of Virginia, went off on the RNC for not canning Cohen given his legal troubles.
"I think with just what we know publicly Michael Cohen has demonstrated himself to be a lousy lawyer and not a particularly selfless participant in roles like that," Cuccinelli said. "He absolutely should be gone from any connection with any political entity with self-respect."
Cuccinelli then dove in to the question of collusion and Cohen's apparent offer to get favored treatment for some corporate client.
