CNN anchor Michael Smerconish broadcast the c-word uncensored on Saturday, during an interview with Spike Feresten, the comedian who wrote "Soup Nazi" episode for Seinfeld.

The segment was focused on Samantha Bee calling First Daughter Ivanka Trump a "feckless c*nt" for the administration's immigration policies separating mothers from their children.

"Sally Field, speaking of the word itself if we're really going to go there, I thought had a unique take by Twitter, dare I put it up on the screen," Smerconish said, while doing that just.

"She pretty much says, we should embrace the c-word," Smerconish explained.

"OK, I guess," Ferestene replied, saying the word is "hard on my ears."

"Yeah, me too," Smerconish added.

"And by the way, we don't have any swears past this swear, so once we become resistant to this word, we have nothing," Feresten noted. "So use it sparingly."

"You're right, it's the last one left, the f-bomb has totally lost its sting," Smerconish concluded.

The host also asked MSNBC's audience to vote in an online poll asking, "should Samantha Bee be fired for referring to Ivanka Trump as the c-word?

As of publication, 76% opposed firing Field.
