A CNN panel on the immigration crisis exacerbated by Donald Trump exploded into shouting after a former advisor to the president said Trump's ever-changing demands -- often contradictory and mostly on Twitter -- are the way he negotiates deals.

Speaking with host Jake Tapper, ex-Trump confidante David Urban blamed the immigration crisis on former President Barack Obama which brought immediate push-back from Democratic strategist Karine Jean-Pierre.

"First of all, Donald Trump created the crisis," Jean-Pierre lectured.

"No he didn't, Barack Obama created the crisis," Urban interrupted.

"Let me finish," Jean-Pierre warned before starting with Trumps' change of heart on DACA. "He created the crisis by saying it was working --"

"It wasn't working, it was unconstitutional," Urban interrupted again.

Ignoring Urban, Jean -Pierre added, "Then he asked for a bipartisanship and bipartisan senators on both sides came to him and said, 'Hey, here's what we have.' He wanted a bill and they proposed that, they mentioned TPS [Temporary Protected Status], then all of the sudden we hear about brown countries."

"He doesn't know what he wants. He is so contradictory when he says one thing then changes to another thing," she concluded.
