Former CIA director John Brennan was a guest on Bill Maher's HBO show on Friday night and the two men discussed whether the President Donald Trump is a traitor.
Brennan has used the word "treasonous" to describe Trump's behavior, while Maher has openly called Trump a traitor.
"I think I exhausted all the other adjectives in the English language to describe Donald Trump's failures to fulfill his responsibilities to the United States," Brennan said.
After Trump's performance in Helsinki, Brennan said that Trump's actions qualified as "treasonous."
Maher again said that Trump is a traitor and that he owes Russian dictator Vladimir Putin for his election.
"He takes their side and not ours," Maher said. "That's a traitor."
Brennan said he thinks things could get worse before they get better.
"He's dividing us," Brennan said. "And I'm really concerned that this is going to spill over into the streets."
