'We're coming for him': Michael Avenatti sends Trump an ominous warning in CNN interview

Michael Avenatti, the attorney for adult film star Stormy Daniels, had an ominous warning for President Donald Trump during a Wednesday morning CNN interview.

During an interview with CNN's Alisyn Camerota, Avenatti shined a light on just how perilous former Trump "fixer" Michael Cohen's guilty plea is for the president. In particular, pointed out how unusual it was to see the president of the United States implicated in a criminal conspiracy by his own former attorney in a guilty plea.

"This is a big deal," he said. "This doesn't happen every day."

Camerota then asked Avenatti what Cohen's guilty plea would mean for Trump's presidency.

"Well, it means that the president is in a lot of trouble," he said. "And it means we're coming for him, that's what it means."

Camerota then pointed out that sitting presidents cannot be indicted for alleged crimes -- but Avenatti pointed out that this would be a trial more for the court of public opinion than for a court of law.

"We're going to get all the facts and the evidence, we're going to take the deposition under oath, we're going to lay it all out for the American people," he said. "And ultimately, they are going to decide the fate of Donald Trump."
