According to the Wall Street Journal, a top donor to President Donald Trump offered the president's personal attorney, Michael Cohen a $10 million reward if he helped him land a government loan for a nuclear power plant.
The report states that Franklin Haney, who gave $1 million to the Trump inauguration fund, made an agreement with Cohen in April to lobby on his behalf for funding for a power plant in Alabama.
The reports states the Department of Energy loan sought by Haney would have been for $5 billion.
Haney denied entering "a contract with Michael Cohen or his affiliate for lobbying services related to the Bellefonte project," through his lawyer Larry Blust, according to the Journal.
