Newly-unearthed footage from an interview five years ago shows Donald Trump not only praising The Washington Post but also its then-new owner, Jeff Bezos — both targets of his ire in recent months.
"I’m a fan of The Washington Post,” Trump said in the footage published Friday by ABC.
He also added that Bezos is "an amazing guy."

Earlier this year, Trump was reportedly "obsessed" with Bezos and the Post due to the criticism against him that came from some of the paper's writers. In late March, he threatened to take regulatory action against Amazon, the e-commerce giant that made Bezos his fortune in a string of tweets.
