Special counsel Robert Mueller's investigators interviewed British publicist Rob Goldstone four times during the last year, The Washington Post reported Saturday.

Goldstone sat for nine hours with investigators and was questioned in front of a federal grand jury.

He told The Post that investigators were less focused on the details of the Trump Tower meeting.

Investigators reportedly focused on Trump's relationship with Russian billionaire Aras Agalarov and his son Emin.

They also asked about the Agalorovs' relationship with the Kremlin.

“They weren’t as interested in the minutia,” Goldstone said. “It was a bigger picture thing.”
