A panel discussion in the wake of the Judicial Committee hearing with Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, who accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh slammed prosecutor Rachel Mitchell.
On Thursday, CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin said that prosecutor Mitchell did a horrible job when questioning Dr. Ford.
"I have to agree with the Trump supporters on this one — she did do a terrible job. She spent all the time talking about who paid with the polygraph and whether she liked to fly around the country. That was irrelevant stuff," Toobin said.
However, legal analyst Laura Coates explained that Mitchell did well depending on how you judge her performance.
"As a prosecutor, I agree. I wouldn't have approached it in this way and I would have uncovered more information and gotten to the heart of the matter easier, but that's because my goal would have been a fact-finding mission. Perhaps hers was different," Coates said.
