While the appearance of Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner at Arizona Sen. John McCain's memorial on Saturday raised eyebrows, the president's daughter drew the ire of some observers by appearing to be texting during one of the tributes to the late senator.
In video clips drawn from the national coverage of the memorial, the first daughter can be seen looking down intently and doing something with her hands while former Senator Joe Lieberman (D-CT) spoke about his friend.

Commenters on Twitter were quick to criticize Ivanka, with one noting, "Ivanka can’t resist using her phone even during the service. She was probably texting daddy...'Daddy, they are disrespecting you! Hurry, distract them, announce a war!!!'"
