The GOP has hired a female sex-crimes prosecutor to question Dr. Christine Blasey Ford who accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault while the two were in high school.
However, Senate Republicans are refusing to release her name. "We aren't announcing the name for her safety," Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) said.
Grassley said he doesn't know if the female attorney has received any threats, but wanted to be "cautious."
Dr. Ford has previously said that she didn't want an outside counsel, and wanted the Senate to be held responsible for their questioning.
The hearing is set to take place on Thursday.
