CNN's Chris Cuomo flattens former Trump aide: 'That’s why you're not the communication director anymore'

On Tuesday, CNN's Chris Cuomo hammered President Donald Trump's former campaign aide David Urban over the quality of Trump's administration.

With the resignation of United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley, Urban argued that Trump would pick the next best person to fill her spot.

However, political commentator Angela Rye pointed out that Trump shouldn't hire a "yes man" and should bring someone on his team that would continue to hold him accountable for his actions.

Urban suggested that Trump's team is great at communication, and Cuomo went off the rails.

"He's surrounded by people who don't push back," Cuomo said.

"At least you think so," Urban responded.

"I think I have some good sources," Cuomo said. "He would not say and tweet the things he did if he had a real strong political hand at his side. No self-respecting politician who understands messaging and the role of that office would allow in terms of the rhetoric."

He added, "That's why you're not the communication director anymore, you're not great at this messaging thing. You just throw stuff out there with no basis in fact."
