SNL hilariously mocks Trump's ridiculous emergency text alerts -- and shows you how to stop them

On Thursday, President Donald Trump sent an alert to almost every phone in America.

It was a test of a new system that would allow the president to warn of natural disasters or terror attacks.

Saturday Night Live mocked the system with a commercial for a carrier that won't bother you with annoying alerts like:

"Failing New York Times says I cheated on taxes. Duh! It's called being smart!"

"Kid Rock sounds better than ever!"

"Puerto Rico is fine now! I guess the paper towels worked!"
