Susan Collins endorses limited FBI probe before reading it all: 'It appears to be a very thorough investigation'
Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME)

Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) declared on Thursday that the FBI had conducted a thorough investigation of the sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, even though agents did not interview accuser Christine Blasey Ford.

Before even reading the complete document, Collins declared: "It appears to be a very thorough investigation."

Collins said that she would return to the secure facility where the document is being held to read it in full.

One hundred senators are being given 24 hours to read the FBI report in a SCIF facility, despite the fact that it is not a classified document.

Collins is said to be one of three Republican senators who have not made up their minds on confirming Kavanaugh.
